DESCRIPTION
ZPT is a coordination complex of zinc,which are formally monoanions, are chelated to Zn2+ via oxygen and sulfur centers. In the crystalline state, zinc pyrithione exists as a centrosymmetric dimer (see figure). Each zinc is bonded to two sulfur and three oxygen centers. This colourless solid is used as an antifungal and antibacterial agent.

STORAGE
The product may be stored for 24 months from the date of manufacture in the unopened original container and at room temperature.
It should be protected from metals、metalsalts and strong oxidizers . Keep container tightly closed. Once opened, use contents quickly.
APPLICATION
ZPT is an effective antimicrobial to fungi and bacteria, which can effectively kill the fungi that cause the dandruff. It is used as antidandruff agent for a long time and widely used in various famous shampoo. ZPT is also widely used as antimicrobial in coating and paper pulp.
